Serv Hosting - Worst Service i have ever experienced​

I am busy hosting with serv hosting, and i have been experiencing alot of issues this last week on my domains. I get hold of a technician he starts to help me (you can't really call it help), but anyway nothing gets resolved. I call them again this morning and ask if i can speak to the same technician as yesterday and the they tell me he is busy, so i request that he calls me back. Serv Hosting Tells me " WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CALL OUR CUSTOMERS " Come on man, i am paying you guys !

I have transfered my account over to some one else.
So guys just a heads up before you use them, Cheap is not always better !

They normally have very good service. Their phone lines were down on Monday. They gave me the same bull story about it being an inbound call centre...

They must be saving on phone calls, so having a contract with a good many minutes before you sign up, could be a good idea...

And yet you can't allow for a hosting provider that makes it CHEAP(er) for you to, you know, cut expenses where they can in order TO make it cheap(er) to you...?

Credentials: I moved a domain of mine to them in 2006 and, down the years I've had cause a coupla times to call them. Mostly, actually, for stuff NOT their fault but caused by itBust: Serv changed the IP on 'my' box and, in so doing, broke the smtp address I use ..yes; itBust, in their infinite wisdom assign the IP as the domain instead of, you know, the ACTUAL BLOODY DOMAIN.

../vent. OK, so: while they may not always have a decent tech for you to talk to, you soon learn who the doofuses are and ask for someone OTHER than them - it's what I usually do and seems to work just fine.

Also, as we have learned, it's not just the services of the company with whom you engage you get to experience ..it's their BLOODY (yes itBust, that means YOU!) accounts departments. And on that score, I've found Serv to be, well, really quite decent about things.

In short: "cheap is not always worse !" (with a cringe for doing that (the space, that is))

Have been with serv for over 3 years and have only ever received outstanding service.

Have had my fair share of self inflicted technical issues which they happily helped resolve even though it was out of their scope.

Will continue to recommend them.

I used serv for a year and never had any problems other than waiting over a day to have my support tickets answered, but they always did manage to help me.

There is many crap hosting companies in SA, they dont really care what you say, as with any company they have happy companies and unhappy companies

Bite the bullet and get proper SA hosting paying R20 more a month is worth while

I don't see the point in R20 SA hosting plans. Even if their severs are based in South Africa the few mb's of space they give you is a joke. Just btw serv.co.za does not have local servers. They just sell you from there american servers. You might as well just buy directly from the american companies like hostgator.com cause they have great support and offer unlimited everything.
