Hi guys.

I need to set up a DVR to be viewed over the internet.

I have already set it up to be viewed via LAN but cannot set up the ADSL router to access the network over the internet!!

It is a Planet ADE 3400 router and I normally do this with Netgear.

I have registered an account with DynDns.com.

Don't know the Planet product well.

Any help would be appreciated.

i do not find your router on the portfoward.com website but here is the closest i can find, the AD 3100

http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Planet/ADE-3100/ADE-3100index.htm

basically you need to see what port you need to forward, or if your DVR will allow you to set a port in the network settings then forward the port you have selected.

just follow one of those guides and replace whatever port they are saying with your port.

then you need to enter the Dyndns settings on your router and you are good to go.

i setup my DVR for access via my mobile phones. this required port forwarding and allowing my Netgear router firewall to allow the access, which i have now got working..
For some reason over the last few weeks, my Vodacom sim just does not want to open the DVR interface - it certainly sees my DVR unit but when i tried to open the Cams, it starts up with the "loading" sign but never brings up the 4-channel cam view. Like i said this this only stopped working on Vodacom a few ago - my MTN sim works perfectly.

Any one know what the reason could be.

Thanx
