Setting up Asterisk for Home/Small Office use

Some time back I was thinking of installing a small PBX system with about 6 or 7 extensions but I never got around to doing it.

I'm thinking of installing an Asterisk box, but I don't know what the of card to get. If there is someone that has setup one some advice on what type of card to go for as well as some links on a good Tutorial/How-to on installing the system.

I have a normal line with ADSL, so preferably something that will work without an ISDN line as I mostly need the PBX for internal calls.

Hi,

did it for our office a few months ago. 20 extensions + 4 external lines.

Lots of unexpected issues - often due to Asterisk and Zaptel as well as Grandstream hardware.

But in the end it was worth the while.

Basics running fine, and now growing the system with the advanced features.
