I've successfully hosted a remote desktop session (port 3389) via a MTN dialup.

setup was as follows :-

modem extra initialization :

AT+cgdcont=1,"IP","MTNVPN"

dialup number

*99***1#

allow access to remote desktop on the bluetooth / cellphone modem

dialup and connect to the IP address you get...

I worked on it for about 15 minutes no probs, very happy now! just waiting on Vcom to do this as well

if you don't get this to work, I see on my profile that I have a service called 'APN wildcard' enabled, I don't know if this could make a difference???

That's pretty cool :D

I can confirm this is working, using an MTN simcard I managed to perform a remote login (via ssh) from my Linux desktop to my Laptop :D

(My desktop was connected via vodacom)

Yea...

Both SSH and Remote Desktop are open as confirmed by MTN.

All ports are open if your connecting between two devices on the same APN.
