So having a look at all of the ISP's available many of the offer uncapped connection on a month to month basis. Most of these i have seen is uncapped and unshaped with no FUP. However some of them gives you uncapped and then the shaping starts as your usage increases, WHY?
Uncapped should be uncapped and unshaped thats why its called uncapped.

you need to read the fine print, some say uncapped but they shape. Eg Cybersmart 900gb FUP after that they start throttling your p2p traffic. Same with Afrihost unless you get their premium package which is super expensive.

I am with cool ideas on an openserve line, No SHAPING whatsoever.... Even have guys using up to 2TB a month and still blasting at full speed.

Supersonic also. On a 200/100 fibre line. No shaping or throttling apart from the network issues they seem to be experiencing now.

those numbers make me dizzy  How much data do you download a month?

I don't actually have DSTV at all. So do all my entertainment streaming from DSTV now. I have a gaming pc, xbox one and ps4 so all those games downloading and updating. I buy all my ps4 games on psn Indonesia store for cheap so big downloads.

When I do download from torrents I download from private torrent sites and since I have a 100Mbps upload speed I don't make use of a seedbox at all so just leave it seeding 24/7 to keep my ratio good. :) That with twitch, youtube and my internet radio station on 320k running 24/7 the usage racks up pretty fast.

I've been binge watching The 100 in 2160p since season 1 so January the usage did run up quite a bit. I don't have enough hdd space for everything so I download seed for a week, watch then delete.

1 decent 4k season on torrents is about 200GB plus my seed ration of 10 means it can use 1.2TB just for 1 season.

Yeah when you have a 200Mbps line streaming and downloading is pretty decent. Downloading 200GB is not that long wait anymore.:D Also the fast line pretty much buffers the content so quickly that a 2 hour 4k movie is very quickly pulled even if you don't watch the whole thing.

200Mbps is 40 times my speed. That's like I am doing 60km/h down the road minding my own business and you are doing 2400km/h overtaking me in the Batmobile
