Shard Recruiting Raiders

Heya, the only 3 nights a week is cool !
It allows you to keep your RL in tact, and you get to farm for your raid materials more often, daily quests for raiding funding, and you get to play more Arena if you are into that kind of thing.

Raiding 4,5,6 nights might sound appealing at first, but really, try it for a few months solid ! Its pretty demanding :)
Sometimes feel like you rush from work, to get that last few pots farmed, then quickly get a few daily quests done for some moolah, then your arena partners quickly wanna squeeze a few games in, and before you know it, raid invite time.

I would love to raid only 3 nights a week and sit back and chill some nights without rushing to do all the pre-raid grinding.

I think shard is going with the attitude, less raiding, but more quality raiding. And it shows in their progress :)

If you're starting out raiding and everyones amped and pumping, or have a large guild where raiders are rotating around a fair bit, then a 4 or 5 night schedule is fine. Otoh if it's the same 80, 90% raiders every raid, doing so for months would run everyone ragged.
We used to have a 4 night sched, with weekend optional raids (weekend badge runs to KZ) bringing it up to 6 but at this point most of our members are geared to the point where the only upgrades are in BT/MH.
I'm certain we all think we're of the calibre to be super hardcore raiders and want to be farming the poop out of Hyjal/Black Temple 24/7, but who can, realisitically, keep that up for an extended period of time? Right now 3 times a week 'mandatory' works, with people free to do informal ZA/KZ or T4/SSC pugs in between should they feel up to it.
