Well, this isn't quite true, since you're probably only going to have one modem, thus it can only use one account at a time. If Tom is online with his account, using PPPoE, Jerry can access the internet as well, and abuse Tom's bandwidth.The idea would be to have one ADSL connection, and each one joining to have their own ISP account. Doing a PPPoE this is easy to achieve.

Wireless is the way to go, and since you're not going to advetise it publisly, or sell the bandwidth, it's fairly legal as well. Beware of hackers though....
Cant you initiate multiple PPPoE sessions using different ISP accounts (from the same modem)?
