Lancelot, agree we need more spite on these forum's, that is why I also go onto the rugby forum site. It is a lot easier when you need to have a go at an All Black or Pommie fan (I have a big dislike for New Zealand rugby). When it comes to S14 I support all SA teams against overseas opponents. In SA it is WP/Stormers first and then the Cheetah's for the brand of rugby they play and the fact the breed so much talent (which they are raped of every year by other SA sides - read Sharks!). This year I have been hoping that the Lions would do well as they have blooded a lot of youngsters. Of the SA sides, I have no time for the bulls and their fans.

In the Stormers/Sharks match earlier this year, Shalk was unfairly sent off, no argument. I have my doubts that the Sharks will make the semi,s unless they show some backbone. Young Steyn is the best talent to come out in many years (Free State!) but he needs to be brought down to earth for his own good. Pienaar (Feee State?) seems to be suffering from a total lack of confidence, which is a shame. He needs to be given a longer run in one position.

Ha ha and the Stormers have never "stolen" a player? Hey we can't help it if everyone wants to play for the Sharks!

With you on this one. They have been decidedly quiet this year too. I wonder why? A true fan sticks by their team through thick and thin... but not a Bulls fan it seems!

There has been talk of some discontent in the camp with Pienaar's ego taking a little bit of a knock with him not starting! We also got heavily hit by injuries in the last two weeks so of course we are going to wobble. they even asked Ackerman to come back but he could not get leave... so things were desperate. A lot of the success in this tournament is also dependant on how injury free your team stays. Yes, you lost a flanker but they are dime a dozen in this country. Lose Grant and see how things go for you then....

I am not going to get pulled into the whole listing where each Stormers player started plying his trade (read Luke for one!!). This is a professional era and if your team has the sort of spirit, and of course the money, that attract players then so be it! Look at the Bulls, they have money but guys are leaving left right and centre!

The reality is that the Western Cape has the strongest schools rugby competition in SA and as a result most of the young talent comes from this Province. The youngster who started at scrumhalf for the bulls this week was at school in the W/Cape last year. My son was at one of the boys schools(matriculated last year) and the talent I saw on the rugby fields makes me confident for the future. Also, we produce the most "coloured" talent, who are taken up by a lot of Provinces to meet quota requirements. The sad part of WP rugby is our club rugby( we have bad administrators). I did however,on Wednesday night go see club rugby between Villagers and UCT and there was a large crowd, which was great as was the talent on show. UCT have a youngster by the name of Mathew Turner, who will be playing provincial rugby by next year and will play at a higher level.

Now that the excuses are ready, what's up for the next game?

No, not at all the safe option. The one I am hoping for as a South African rugby supporter. Why, would you rather have it some other way?

To be honest, i also support all our teams, the players get swopped around so often, that every few years, u get a team full of players from teams u didn't like a few seasons ago.

I will support all three SA teams today. WHile I like the Cheetas it is more important that the Sharks win for SA. The Lions/Chiefs game is key. I have a feeling the Lions may pull it off.

There is big rain on the way in Cape Town. If we were playing at 3pm it may hold off. But by 7pm it will be pouring i am sure. I was due to hike through some caves in the Kalk Bay mountains this AM but the weather is too bad so I staid in bed . No rain yet but a strong rain wind blowing and 60% chance of rain. Newland is right in the high rainfall part of Town. Not sure who the rain will suit but I love running rugby.

i'd actually much rather see the sharks go down to the chiefs, but for the sake of SA rugby it might be better if the sharks make it through to the semi's

Stormers should beat the Sharks in the final then.

Don't forget boys ...... Stormers have only won 7 matches. Once a Stormers outfit gets into disarray .... they fall apart. Also, how many senior guys did you lose after WC? Look at the youth and inexperience in the Sharks and we still won more games. :D
