As for these bloody commentators... they are so condescending, where do they get off calling a professional branded team "Sharkies". Sharks rugby should sue them!

And as you say the ref all of a sudden gets mentioned as having a great game when the NZ team is winning and then is shocking when the game turns! ha ha ha

Playing brilliantly in the first half. Moment of sheer stupidity from Steyn apart

I was how long it would take the ref to try and engineer a Brumbies victory (Kankowski yellow card).

He's an absolute embarrassment to far more than the referring profession.

If you're not going to apply the rules fairly and consistently. How do you get appointed to the SANZAR panel?

[Edit]
Now Steyn also got a yellow card, ironic considering Brumbies have commit the same infringement the whole game.
If the Brumbies can play the ball on the ground, why aren't the Sharks allow to?
Johan Muller laughing at the ref how pathetic it is.

Seems the ref has decided he's the main attraction. 18 phases before a foul and he sin bins the player. Now he's done the same to Steyn. Both for "not supporting your body weight" WTF. Colossal idiot. Even the Aussie commenters are at a loss for most of his decisions

Good, the bastard is injured.

Sadly the damage is done, he gave the Brumbies the game.

Here fishy, fishy fishy - where are all the Shark supporters? Would be interested to see your comments of the last match! As a Stormers fan I was dissapointed you guys lost again, as a matter of fact all the SA teams. We need all the teams to beat the NZ and Aussie opposition to help us get to a semi, but it is not happening. Does anyone have connections with the Shark camp - what the hell is going on?

Shame I suppose we should feel sorry for you for having to support a team that originally felt the need to steal our colours when the Super 12 first started.... good to see we got our colours back this year! :)

The last game was just a bad game. If we had to look for excuses I reckon most teams would suffer a little if they lost their captain during pre match warm up and then their first choice, well in fact the only specialist, flyhalf within the first few minutes of the game. Add to this the fact that I lost count of the number of times Stephan, and then Ruan, kicked the ball straight into touch when kicking from outside the 22.

Phew, now that you have got me started I see there are a stack of reasons for us having lost!!

Mmmm, while I agree the injuries made some difference, what is the other players excuses. They needed to put there hands up. Some of the players have had a few weak games in a row. One of the main problems is Steyn. He needs to be dropped to bring him back to earth. He tries to do too much.

With regard to the reference to the black kit, you should be sure of your facts first! As an old WP fan I would have prefered a variation of the blue and white hoops. We however had a captian by the name of Bobby Skinstad, ex Natal schools who proposed the black and the players bought into it. Your assumption that you own the colour black is off the mark. Teams such as the All Blacks, Saracens and many more would say otherwise. Here in SA the Boland union has always been all black (Natal were always Black and WHITE). The Boland union is part of the Stormers feeder area and if you go back in the history of rugby you will find that the Boland union was established many years prior to Natal.

Interesting to see the head of WP rugby saying this now....

The Stormers will play in blue in next year’s Super 14.

The change in kit colour was unveiled to media at Newlands on Thursday evening, where WP Rugby Pty Ltd MD Rob Wagner explained the strategic move.

At the heart of the change was the desire to reassociate the Stormers with the traditional Western Province brand.

I suppose with the success Natal were having in the 90s it made sense for the Stormers to try to jump on the bandwagon and share some of that success by wearing OUR colours! And stealing our players as you so kindly mentioned! :)

EDIT : See you in the final....... hopefully!

Have always liked the brand of rugby Sharks play. I met Dick Muir a few times when he was in Cape Town and have massive respect for him. In fact he was key to WP winning the currie cup when he was here. I was sorry to see you guys lose again. Thought you were a little unlucky agaion and if Kockott had not missed his kicks, you would have had the lead at one stage, which could have changed the match outcome. You were lucky to beat us earlier this year so I know how it feels!

Toffee I was just thinking that we should have all these Super 14 supporters threads in one. I was having a nice discussion with Alf on there and felt it could do with some input from other sharks fans. These fan threads are a little boring when everyone in them is a fan. No arguments, heated discussions, nothing! :)

As for the game... I was not convinced about that try! I could have sworn Kankowski's arm touched the ball down first. But then again I suppose it should never have got to that point, Pienaar should have had it covered but again I suppose the crappy conditions did not help matters there!

You were lucky to beat us earlier this year so I know how it feels!

Luck? LUCK? Perhaps you should look a little closer to home and the discipline of your players before saying we won through luck!
