Shaun's Back

I'm stating the obvious here but Shaun Green and co are a seriously stressed bunch,things are not going well up there in WBS.It's obvious they are trying hard and doing their best to sort everything out but i get the ipmression they're pissing into the wind if you know what i mean.....

IMO it is more productive to concentrate on what you need most for your business to be successful, now my view is that in WBS' case that isn't fame/infamy & money, nor is it bandwidth, nor is it the iBurst network, I believe it is customers - keep communicating with them & you keep them rather than lose them.

Before this gets raised again, having meetings with a select few (remeber yesterday's Poision-I thread) does not necessarily address the communication needs of the many. It is in WBS' best interests to communicate with the many right here on the forum. Individuals should meet with Shaun if they feel the need, but they cannot hope to be the voice of everyone else - that is what this forum & IRC do achieve - when there are at least 2 sides participating. Since November I have the distinct impression that there is only 1 side to this conversation - the iBurst customers, we are here talking idly amongst ourselves, but where has WBS been since November 2004, seriously I ask...?​

Agreed. All we've had so far is a few cameo performances, with very little substance.

Doesn't mean they aren't reading/watching. They are also a bit more active and helpful in the IRC channels.
 
Which #channel & server bcos everytime I tried asking Dylan something @ #iburst on ethereal.web.co.za he stepped away from his desk & I didn't get any help :(.

PS: Dylan you still haven't returned my calls from the morning when you went to see the doctor, are you off sick? - if so please return my calls (I left 2 messages) when you're back in the office :).

Well thats where I go, but I've never asked Dylan anything. Sihen and Anakin are always helpful though :P
 
I find its better to catch them on IRC off the clock, like 7PM onwards
 
LOL, no problemo - I thought maybe you were joking anyways when you said you don't know about dylan only sihen (& anakin == Luis Chin @ WBS).

Yes you can find myself and Luis on IRC on za.ethereal.web.za - #iburst. but often we are only active after hours.

Thanks for the reply - sorry to hear you were sick - I suspected as much. Mary Ann said I had to speak to you about a certain matter, something about 1 full day of uploading - or something :confused:...anyways that's a telephone conversation & not for this forum.

There is one thing I am rather anxious to know - the time when Over The Air UT firmware updates will start on the 15th (which is about 11 minutes away)?

I laready asked that on irc, no one could tell me jack, basically it can happen at anytime from sometime tuesday to sometiem friday depending on where you are at.
 
no no my man, I meant No One (pronounced NO-WUN) not noone (pronounced newney) :p
