Shopping for new iSP

I would suggest staying with Afrihost, their forum presence in great. You should have seen the other day/days when they went down, they gave live updates here every 20min.

Thanks... but I prefer to receive what I paid for. Forum presence and live updates is not for me.

My man, good luck. You will probably not find better than the other names mentioned here. What about Mweb?

I don't like AH, but your " " "choices" " " are simply limited. Do you think the script they give you is out of choice? ALL isps will force the same onto you as it is dictated by the FNO most of the time. Cannot believe we are 16 posts in and there has been no mention of who the FNO is. Mind sharing who the FNO is?

Having the ISP in your province will also not help, much

May I be so bold and recommend Telkom? As the FNO and the ISP if you have that luxury
The reason why there are no mention of the FNO is because the issue is at AH. But FYI it is Openserve. They have been at my premises 3 times, checking infrastructure. The only party that followed up everyday with a call, unlike my ISP.
And FYI, the mention of an ISP within my province was sarcasm... so that "I can get into my car and go kick some ass at their offices if ever I'm not getting what I paid for" a joke.

@websquadza is the goto here :D

i've logged calls for what some may see as silly things ( ping to eu game servers ) at ungodly hours, and they make a plan

That last part is actually good advice which I also keep in mind when choosing an ISP for myself and for clients.

Once in a while when all other avenues have been exhausted, visiting the ISP's office to look somebody in the eyes is the only way to make progress with a sticky issue.

He is being childish.

In trying to make his point about his dislike of Afrihost he is declaring Cool Ideas guilty by association.
Very childish, some people are really strange
