Shortest Work Experience

It's extremely hard to get fired in the US govt, I would suspect the same in the UK

However true it may be, it's that bulletproof attitude that erks me so badly.

It's my friggin money that is being paid as salaries to individuals who try and do as little as possible.

Having said that, there are those very few exceptions whose attitude is vastly different. I cannot begin to express my unending gratitude for the hard work they do. Imagine dragging thousands of useless idiots behind you through a river of golden syrup.

About 3 hours, started a job at some up and coming start up Internet firm, just before the dot com bubble. I came in my first day, had a cup of coffee, didn't have a PC yet, didn't have a chair, so I walked around. It was in a house in Van Riebecks park so it was a long trek from Randburg as well. After the third hour I was like sorry cheers I'm off.
16 years later, I've never heard of the firm again or what ever it was they were going to revolutionise the internet with so I guess I made the right choice.

He's a maths teacher. And seems to teach quite well. Don't think the shoe fits here

3 days. The job was more admin than than technical and I didn't see any way to further myself in the company from that position...so I left :p

even if the job is the worst thing ever, make sure you leave on good terms.

No doubt about it. Even with my previous job I left on good terms, they even said I can come back if I want to. But don't know if I can go back with a tail between my legs and get paid peanuts again....
