Exactly. Thats why I leave learning for the day before. The possibility of failure should be motivation enough.
I will do every thing under the sun before I study, but once I start I get into it, then its easy.
It's just those first few pages, of you getting into the work, I find a study table helps. Does not have to be in depth, just like reading two chapters a day leading upto the test then day before I study the work, memorizing the 1,2,3 kinda answers before you know it you relaxing after the test![]()
+1,
It's just getting started, I just can't seem to get started.
Bleh, I guess I've basically got everything done... and my friends are going out now (main reason for making it difficult to start).
And wow, it's only Physics (1st year Engineering physics)... So I really doubt my life will come to a grinding halt in the event of me failing this test?

I work best under pressure...
Luckily Im still only 1st year, although also doing accounts.Im exactly the same, but unfortunatly this is not a good thing, because often the day before is not enough time(studying bcom accounting 2nd year)! I love working under pressure (I dont work if there isnt any)
I honestly dont know how you guys feel guilty for not learning. I would have a stressed about it if the test was the next day, but never have I felt guilty even when other people are learning.Feeling the pain scottyI sold my Joburg Day and Basement Jaxx tickets for today 'cause I knew I'd feel guilty the whole time being there. Wanna kick myself for not doing any work this past week.

I wish I went to JHB day and Basement Jaxx though, all my friends are at JHB day and I am in Bloem... lovely...
It's not so much the guilt of not learning at the time but at having skipped lectures and being inconsistent in keeping up with work in the previous weeks. And then comes the annoyance with having let yourself get into a situation which was totally avoidable in the first place.

I thought the same of first year university physics. I did so-so in my class tests and ended up bombing in the exam because:
1. I never really studied hard for the class tests during the year, so when finals came it was as if I was looking at the material for the first time.
2. My exam timetable was a bastard, and I was set to write my major a few days after physics, so guess which subject took preference.
So, in the end, I failed first year physics and had to repeat it in my second year. Had I studied harder for my class tests, I would have had in all likelihood a better year mark that could have saved me from the final. It's really not worth failing physics, especially when you end up having to repeat all your lab sessions.
