Should I move from Vodacom

Then there's the constant spam, how do you MTN subscribers deal.

I felt the pain with that too - there is a USSD string you can dial to opt out of all of that. Found it somewhere on myBB a while ago, since then things have been better.

Due for an upgrade.

Currently got an iPhone 6S Plus.

Its causing me some headaches. Battery lasts about 4 hours. Keeps freezing and for some reason my speaker is very soft. Not speaker phone. When I put it to my ear.

Not sure if its worth getting an X or 8plus.

If I do, should I stick with Vodacom or move to MTN. Their deals look so much better and cheaper as well.

The only thing that bugs me is th 36 month period
you can get that battery replaced for R430. https://www.myistore.co.za/iphone-battery-replacement-at-istore

I considered it, thought I would try a black Friday deal from MTN as a litmus test. It failed miserably.

That said I have an option between vodacom and MTN for coverage at home...

When i phone Vodacom clients it always sounds like they have 20% packet loss on their line even if they have full bars on 3G, freaking pathetic.

Considering holding on to this phone till end of the year and getting a phone cash.

In the meantime, Telkom seems to be the way to go.

What plans do you recommend?

SIM Sonke prepaid.

Does that come with a phone for the OP and can they make calls?

Can't share the data across multiple devices, so one must check which package suits your needs best...
R9 p/m for multiSIM do not apply on this contract, really?

Their freeme deals are really good. And they are bundling 100 all net minutes to some of the packages at the moment. I got a freeme 1GB with 100 all net minutes about a month ago (includes free whatsapp, unlimited on net and landline calls and 10GB Wi-Fi at their hotspots).

Their billing issues isues, and useless website (try to find the cost of prepaid calls and data and the type of packages VS the VC website) and then there is their poor support.

Also, have you ever tried cancelling a contract with them? Took me 3 years to achieve that and get a letter to state that the account is paid up.

What's the coverage like on Telkom? And are they piggybacking off another network?
