Vaping should be banned in public... it's disappointing when you're hungry and smell blueberry muffins, banana loaf and pecan pie only to find out it's a hipster with his cloud of lies and false hope.

As I said before: Smoking or "getting a nicotine fix" in whichever form is idiotic and yes, childish. It is an automatically addictive substance. Like Heroin. And I say that as someone who smoked for 35 years and has the COPD to prove it. Alcohol is a relaxant. Nicotine is the opposite. It causes contraction of the veins, high blood pressure, increased heart rate etc. The opposite of relaxing. None of them healthy or relaxing. As I said. Nicotine usage in the age of information is idiotic. Your strawman fallacy is noted.

Alcohol obviously has negative biological, and way more societal, affects too, your unwillingness to answer whether you partake in it or not is just because it would force you to admit to your hypocrisy, which is something you cannot accept so you go on the attack.

I used to smoke for 24 years and gave up a few times and just fell off the wagon every time.Decided to give vaping a go and it got me permenantly off Ciggies.I vape way less than when I used to smoke.So yes, it does help for kicking the tobacco habit personally

When it comes to vaping in public. I don't always take my vape with me, but when I do go out for an extended time I will, but I always make sure that I take a few drags just before I get out of the car or if I do vape outside, that there is noone around eg. stand far away from people.

As an ex tobacco user, I don't understand why people complain about the smell of vape as it doesn't smell anything as bad as cigarette smoke or stale smoke on people.Being an ex smoker one noticed the smell of cigarette so much more.

Comparing cigarettes to vaping is like comparing a Penny Fathing bicycle with a modern mountain bike, invalid comparison.
Cigarettes stink, vaping not so, yes vaping has a smell but in NO way near as unpleasant or clingy to clothes and surfaces as cigs.
The billowing clouds are the only give-away as some people's perfume/ cologne and deodorant are sometimes stronger albeit invisible. This from a non- smoke/ vaper.
Leave the vapers alone, possibly slowly reduce the public smoking areas for cigs, and in public the distance to others. Private own issue?

The obviously obvious ****ing difference is that unlike nicotine, not everyone who uses alcohol gets addicted to it. And nobody blows billows of alcohol in other people's face. And alcohol is legally restricted to adults, unlike these vape shops, who would sell a vape and nicotine to a toddler if they had a debit card. Their obvious target is teenagers, from the design of the mods down to the labeling of the liquids. They are complicit in addicting a whole generation to nicotine, as many of them would never have touched a cigarette, but are now nicotine addicts due to the "harmlessness" of vapes they have been sold on.

That's why I did not even deem the alcohol red herring worthy of reply.

Bastard necroing a 2 year old thread. I also vape DTL, enjoy it more and prefer it to MTL and has kept me off the stinkies for 7 years now, but you have to be selective and isolate where you do it to not irritate and expose the general public with your plumes, just like I'm sure you don't enjoy being exposed to ciggie smoke in your face, it's not hard.

It's always fascinating to see how people try to enforce their own world views on others, like many of those opposed to vaping/nicotine would simply like it banned altogether. Turns out nicotine isn't particularly addictive. Turns out the form of nicotine in combination with the other chemicals in tobacco smoke is very addictive. But don't let the facts get in the way of your tantrum.

As a vaper myself, I vape much more that I ever smoked and so does most vapers. No quitting prospects.
If vaping was really into this help to quit propaganda, then they should ban all flavors like a few countries have, and just tobacco flavors.

Likewise, can do it anywhere without stinking up everything and leaving yellow residue on the walls and elsewhere.
Also the nicotine strength and palatability for higher and higher strengths is greater imo. I smoked a regular marlboro a few months ago and was shocked how little satisfaction it gave me. Ciggies with all their other toxic chemicals is what gives you those nasty headaches and nausea if you smoke too much.
