Not a fan of the clocks that use words to tell the time, but some great themes otherwise...
I mean when I get a whatsapp I want a preview of the message shown on the screen, currently there is no notification for it.

Do you want the notification on your lock screen, or anywhere on your phone?
There is a app which displays Android L like notifications, which is quite cool actually. If you want it, I'll look for the name.

Me too please. Running KitKat but don't know of this feature build in.
I think he means the code to enable the pop up notifications were already baked into KitKat but not yet enabled. The xposed plugin just enables it.
For whatsapp you can activate the pop up from the app. For other Android L like, I was using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodblockwithoutco.headsup but now changed to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=codes.simen.l50notifications
