I gave up on Kustom Widgets. It's a bit too customisable, . But really like Niagara Launcher.

But Niagara you only have to use 1 Widget. You don't even have to make any changes to the widget, if you find a straight forward one

I'm now using Niagara without any extra widgets (just the Niagara widgets). I really like it, just wish they had an option to add a dock. I would like to add my most common apps in the dock (like Phone, Messages, Chrome...)

You can add folders to your favourites list. Not quite pinned to dock but a very useful alternative. I made a quick video showing you how. Pro version. Not sure if the feature set is available on the free version.

That actually looks quite nice. Will try that one. Would still prefer it at the bottom. Do you maybe know the widget name/number in Kustom Widgets? Quite a schlep going through all of them

I think you shouldn't be set on Niagara only. Use Nova, and have the dock with apps you want. Niagara is more just a simplistic launcher, where you can just easily get to things.

I know Apple fanboys will say many things, but if you set up your phone nicely on Android, you can have a pretty impressive look.

Strangley, i havent noticed any sort of battery drain. But yes, dark backgrounds are better for battery
