oh, touchwiz
Ok, then I guess you are running stock Samsung rom on your phone. Unfortunately it wouldn't work then. You'll need to use a launcher like Nova.
yip it's stock. Must I root to make use of Nova? 'cos I'm waiting for kitkat for Note 3 then I want to root the phone afterwards.
Any particular reason why you want kitkat?yip it's stock. Must I root to make use of Nova? 'cos I'm waiting for kitkat for Note 3 then I want to root the phone afterwards.

uhm...not really. This is my first Android device so I thought that a root is needed for a different launcher.
Installed Nova now and my bottom tray of apps is missing. hangouts and the other 2 in my earlier screeny.
So far, I think that TouchWiz is smoother when it comes to the animation when scrolling through the screens. And nova is clipping the bottom part of my walking mate widget...
Noob.
What phone did you have before?
lol really? Nokia N9 like a BAAAAAWWWWWWSSSS...I miss that phone...anyway...I'm here now and enjoying it.
Android is very flexible and you can pretty much make it the way you want. Just look at the screenshots in this thread. Don't have the Hangouts app? Simple, just drag and drop where desired. Widget too big? Resize to what you want. Touchwiz works fine but I find it to be very rigid and frankly too busy for me, but as a newbie I can see how Nova can be a bit too much because it is very customizable. And there is no way Touchwiz can be faster than Nova.
Yeah... I'm lazy
The open area mid left is where notifications pop up (normally hidden, but exposed below for the purpose of the post). I tried my best this morning to take pics of water drops and I decided on this one for now. Hidden status bar for a cleaner look. I'm simple like that...![]()
How do you get those icons blue? Icon pack?
iOS7 there cerebus?
Just kidding!
I'm beginning to get bored of my widgets. Need a new simple background as well. Looking at trying MIUI for my S4....
Reminds me if my Nexus 5![]()
