Samsung Gallery is a terrible app. It bogs everything down. Quickpic is far better.Nope.
At first I thought the easy homescreen setup has been enabled, but then I saw he wants to open a pic and have a gazillion apps to choose from.
What happened to the good ol' trusty Gallery?
Anyway G2 is arriving tomorrow so all customisations are off the table till then.

Just something to add to the mix :
I had a faulty SD card and Gallery was also terrible and ugly on my Note 2.
But then I got a Sandisk Ultra 32GB card and my Gallery was extremely fast.
I've put the SD card in my Galaxy S5 and when you tap on the Gallery icon, it opens instantly.
Just a pure joy to use.

Why did you get the Galaxy S4 if you actually wanted the G2? Are you going to sell the S4?

Doubt that's it - its probably just a better/optimized version of the Gallery app.

but, i must agree with kingrob, it is quite smooth on the S5. Not quite melted butter yet, but at least a little oily.
