I too have showmax and had it since launch. It never took off. It's now showing growth due to the promo. Now they want to flaunt the numbers :crylaugh:

I just wish they had more shows.
Its really bare bones. I am talking about more shows such as documentaries from like Discovery channel ext.
We love the UK channels such as Channel 4 and 5 but there is no way at all to watch their shows here other that piracy and even then you will have a hard time finding it on torrents ext.

I know more people with Showmax than with DSTV actually.
But then I hang out with people under 35, mostly without kids and mostly foreigners so who can’t care less about DSTV’s crap content and use a mix of Netflix/Kodi/Showmax.
Definitely not representative of the population.

They had to opt in before that. You could add it to your account at R 99 additional per month. (Don't know when this was done time wise) you then could get a little device you added to your decoder or something. September was the actual Promo.
Not that it changes anything I said. There was no "Exceptional growth" prior to them incorporating it into their service offerings.

Without showing numbers I wonder if that is plotted with a normal scale, log scale or maybe a reverse log scale? Surely Showmax should provide more than we are doing well but can't give you numbers!
