ShowMAx Data usage on Fibre

I have just signed up to Showmax and set the quality to 0.3 gig data per hour usage, but my usage is way over, i clocked 21gb of data yesterday watching series and if i was to sit for 24/7 solid on 0.3gb total data used should be 7.2gigs data , but im sitting with a 21gb data usage for a few hours.

Is anyone else experiencing extremely high data comsumption with showmax?

who is your ISP?

I think that it will stream at the highest level it can, even if you set it lower. But not sure.

I'm sure the constant opening of Showmax - loading the series list and things use up bw... but yours seems rather excessive, are you sure it's not windows updates, phone updates, application updates, etc? Maybe someone is piggybacking off your wifi?
