ShowMax hit hard by weak rand

A few days ago we had an almost identical article, but for DSTV. It seems like we are being prepared for a larger than usual price increase in DSTV subscriptions, and an equally eye watering increase for Showmax subs.

I wish I could watch showmax... Imagine they had a Roku App and didn't expect people to watch tv on their cellphones or tablets..

To be fair, you can AirPlay it to your TV very easily.
But yeah, they need to release their Apple TV and Roku apps

If Showmax ups it's fee I'm out. It's not really worth more than that atm. They still don't have season 8 and 9 of The Big Bang Theory on. Game of Thrones will only start again in April. That is currently the only real pulling card they have. I enjoy watching things on there and it's a nice addition to Hulu, Netflix and the likes. But no way I'll be paying more than R 99 for it. Sorry.

As long as they do a R99 move/jobbie & offer prepaid vouchers; Along with new content; they are always adding; I'll stay a subscriber.

I'll even be prepared to pay for new releases to be streamed on a rental base as an example. Like they do with On Demand.

And then they drop shows like breaking bad.

Thats a whole different business model. That is what iTunes is for
