Do you think there is merit in siener Van Rensburg's predictions?

Exactly and that is why it is nice to know but one should not live your life according to it!

My opinion in life is that everything is planned and will happen as it should! You are destined to certain things and your day is your day! You can't do anything to change that! And by reading this won't change the fact that you might die on a certain day. For instance... Gnl De La Rey was warned by Siener and he still died exactly the way Siener saw it - Gnl De La Rey wasn't able to do anything about it so why should I live in fear or change the way I live my daily life because I have read through this?

As you have said - this is very criptic. No one will never really know what lies ahead for us when we read this stuff! Its easy to say in hind sight that Siener predicted it because it happened and he has written something about it - take Chernobyl as an example. But what will happen in the future is not so easy to say what will happen and how because it is too criptic! As an example - Siener predicted a black leader will rise up from being nobody to a very big leader. He says quite a bit about this and describe it a in some detail but nobody really know who this black leader is. Siener talks about a 'kaf fer tjie with a assegaai'. Till now everybody believes this to be Nelson Mandela - I think it is rather Jacob Zuma. Nobody will know untill some point in the future when we can look back and read this stuff and then look with hind sight and say - "oh it was actually this leader and not that one'.

Another section where the speculation is rife is with regards to the leader that will die and will lie in a glass coffin on Church Square in Pretoria. It is believed to be Nelson Mandela, but this is pure speculation because Jacob Zuma is a much bigger leader to the massas at the moment than Nelson Mandela. We won't know who this is until it actually happens - what Siener said is too cryptic to really know, and I must just say again. If this stuff he predicted really will happen, there is nothing we can do about it or change to make it not happen.

Live your life to the full, and love the people around you. Your time on earth is borrowed time and you won't live forever so make the time you have on earth count. That is my view point and how I live my life.

This info is interesting to read but it should be treated like that. What the Boeremag tried to do was to make these things happen - you can't make it happen, if it will happen it will happen when the time is right, not when some random person decide now is the time.

You need to know the symbolism that Siener used.
He was an uneducated fellow and used items and terms that was known to him.
He was not a sophisticated man.

The English have a few terms for people like him ( and for the Boere as well! )
I would not like to repeat it here !:D

Why use symbolism at all? And how do you know you understand his use of symbolism?
Even uneducated people can say Germany, the UK or United European Government or big war with explosions big enough to destroy cities. And what about dates? Uneducated people understand dates.

You can use that symbolism to describe the soccer matches in the world cup next year and it will seem just as accurate, depending on how creatively you interpret it.

But then again I'm not into psychics and prophets and all that.

Service delivery will NEVER be up to scratch. Look at the rate which squatter camps increase in size and pop up everywhere. Look at the birthrate among the poor in the townships. No way can the state infrastructure keep up. Hospitals cannot be built and expanded at the same rate as the population in these areas increase. But then why am I saying this when nobody seems to see this.

He predicted AIDS.
He predicted Sasol.
He predicted that we would have a black government.

There are so many of his predictions that became true, it makes Nostradamus look like a child.

This guy is a joke. And the people that believe in this crap. No wonder all these palm readers and tarot card readers don't do too badly for themselves.

You are an idiot, stirring up a lot of **** with your blind belief in some dead guy's rantings. Aids does not affect all of us, only those that life the lifestyle it requires to spread (like dirty needles, sleeping around with infected partners, etc etc). Aids will not be the cause of human extinction.

The child support grant that the government pays to children is to blame for the population explosion.

As far as state infrastructure goes; Lets rather not go down that road.

No, he did not mention the name of SASOL.
Instead, whilst riding his horse on commando near the present day Sasolburg, he said that this is where the petrol factory will be built.
It was vacant land at the time.
Only Vereeniging was there.
