Sigh

Power still down?

I live in Moreleta. Some parts of the neighbourhood's power never went down (such as where I am). Other parts' power went down, but was restored on Saturday. Today, though, the team working at Mooikloof made an oopsie, so now it seems like all of Moreleta are in the dark.

The amount of work and just looks staggering, cost must be huge.

Millions easily, they're making progress but this shouldn't have happened in the first place. Same as Wapadrand a couple years ago, this is the third such incident of a substation this size going up in smoke, there is a serious design flaw somewhere or just massive overloading. Or something nefarious is afoot.

Yeah, there's clearly something not being done right.

How many litres used on your borrowed generator so far?

Damn, some people must feel like they are camping at the moment, even though they are not into camping, and more self catering.

Major blackout!

80l

Plus 2 days of generator hire.

Just bathed in a bucket, I didn't leave Zim to deal with this shyte again.

I'm in a real dark place here gents, could really do with some support...

Not mentally, I just live in PTA East.

I am sorry to hear about your situation.
But this is Africa, they don't have a clue what they're doing.
They also don't give a rat's arse about the residents or the poor people suffering without power.

As for your assertion about issues, it comes as no surprise- I've seen some real stupidity in my life, all unique to Africa, and one other place, Russia. Russians have the unique penchant for blowing things up with their incompetence and getting instant justice. Africans do it by stealth by sabotage or pure incompetence which rears its ugly head later.
