Hi guys,

My iPhone was recently placed into someone elses posession without my knowledge (Stolen) and i am getting my new one today.

My question is does the back-up tool in iTunes also backup my sim contacts ?

I really dont want to manually enter all the numbers into my new sim again.

Thanks

The iPhone contacts are actually on the handset and not the SIM as far as I know (I could be wrong). Yes an iTunes sync will have backed up the contacts, so a sync should prompt you to replace the ones on the phone as it will pick up that there is more than a certain percentage of them having changed.

As far as I know, If you did import the SIM contacts in the iPhone settings when you had it, then they would be copied to the phones memory, and hence backed up in ITunes.

Mike is right, all contacts are stored on the phones memory and not the SIM card.

If you didn't import the SIM contacts into your iPhone phonebook, and it's the SIM contacts you are after, then you're out of luck I think

If you are referring to all the contacts you manually saved to your iPhone over time, then they would have been stored in the phones memory and not the SIM card, and you're in luck.
