simple cpu benchmark utility - 68Kb download

dude i suggest u get pcmark and run the test, if it passes then there is no problem

if your pc fails that you have hardware or software problems

We've done the Super pi test before ... to 2m places. If I remember then, anything under 1.35 minutes was a high end PC. My P4 3.0 1GB RAM does it in 1.50 minutes and my Celeron D 1.6 512MB does it in 2:00 minutes ...

40.037s for 1M.

CPU = Intel Pentium M (Centrino) 2GHz.

1m 41.684s for 2M

Everyone should be doing the 1M test. Its the most commonly run super pi test. The world record for super pi 1M is under 9 seconds

1M test on my 3 stock standard machines...

Main PC - AMD Athlon64 4800 X2 dual-core, 4GB DDR400 = 39.221s (using 1 core)
CPU Temp running at 32° C

Server - AMD Opteron 170 dual-core, 4GB DDR400 = 43.187s (using 1 core)
CPU Temp runing at 35° C

Laptop - Dell Latitude D510 Pentium-M 1.73Ghz, 512 DDR2 - 45.422s
CPU Temp running at 44° C

What could I use to test the dual-core speed? tried running 2 instances of PI, but there is no difference in the times?

14.953 for 1M
47.796 for 2M at stock, to hot to run oc'ed
Bugger that oc'ed back to 3.2 (8 * 400) 40.657 for 2 million

Latest 14.437 @ 3.6 (9 * 400) for 1 million
36.906 for 2 million @ 3.6

Will not push further, could prob tighten ram timings for a little better but not really worth it, runs just fine at stock :)
