1M test on my 3 stock standard machines...
Main PC - AMD Athlon64 4800 X2 dual-core, 4GB DDR400 = 39.221s (using 1 core)
CPU Temp running at 32° C
Server - AMD Opteron 170 dual-core, 4GB DDR400 = 43.187s (using 1 core)
CPU Temp runing at 35° C
Laptop - Dell Latitude D510 Pentium-M 1.73Ghz, 512 DDR2 - 45.422s
CPU Temp running at 44° C
What could I use to test the dual-core speed? tried running 2 instances of PI, but there is no difference in the times?
If you want to test both cores (but not for speed but stability) try two instances of Prime 95 and run for ±24 hrs.
