Singhs - Best curry in Cape Town

So?

Some people actually like and want a mutton curry.

**EDIT**
And a Durban curry would not be right with steak....

Lets hope enough people would actually like mutton curry for the place to still be around in two years time, most places do not last that long in Cape Town CBD.

You query whether people like mutton curry?

Seriously?

I'm querying whether sufficient people in the Cape Town CBD would like it to support this shop for it to last the distance. Are you familiar with the survival rate of food shops in Cape Town CBD? even good ones don't last.

You specifically used the term "some" not "most".

Also looking for a good Indian food place. There is one around the corner from me but the one time I ordered from them the food was bland.

Hey found an article on the place: http://www.food24.com/Restaurants-and-Bars/Restaurants/Passage-to-India-20130410

The city is a bit far, anyone else know of good place in Table View/Parklands/Sunningdale area?

This Passage to India was taken over and it's now called the Indian Chapter. It is awesome - we eat there often.

wrong, Mariams is Cape Indian.

Thats the first time I've heard somebody use that to describe Miriams's. Not even my Muslim friends who have grown up in the BoKaap refer to it as Indian, the all use the term Cape Malay.

Its obvious you have a thing for Mariam and are hoping for Singh's to fail. Eat from Singh's if you want to or not.

Go to Mariams and read what it says, they describe their food as Cape Indian.

Which makes sense since it is indian owned and not malay, unless you suggesting there is no difference between cape malays and cape indians?

I have a problem with someone thinking Singhs is the best curry in Cape town, when Mariams is better. I agree Mariams is not the best but they are similiarly priced and there are no other fair comparisons in the CBD, unless you think Food Inn and Easterns are fair comparisons?

Its obvious you can't see the point so you resort to narrow observations about myself, you might as well mention the monza while you at it.

They allow him to park his opel outside the shop, singh's has to much pride to allow that :D

As far as you are concerned they're the best. As far as other people are concerned Singh's is the best... its an opinion.

I'm sure if somebody started a post about the best rat dogs in CBD he would say its Mariams and not the lady selling from the street stall on the corner of Long & Hans Strijdom by Thibault Square. ;)
