Singhs - Best curry in Cape Town

Will try Taj as looking for a nice place for wife and I to eat out at.
 
Another great place for curry, especially a lamb off the bone vindaloo, would be at the Maharaja on Kloof Street.

Excellent curries.
 
where exactly is this Singhs? in relation to mariams? can i walk to it if im parked infront of mariams?
 
I had a hot Lamb Korma at Bihari Restaurant inside the Southern Sun Newlands the other day. A very worthy rival to my favourite place in Joburg. I would highly recommend it. R120 for the main though, and the Aloo Paratha was average.
 
R120 for a curry that can be bought for like R40


thats why i dont eat out at indian resturants in a hurry

rather go to a indian takeaway like eastern bazaar or something

so I was right, not even two years and Singhs closed down due to lack of demand, they clearly did not make the best curry in CT


...and Mariams remains open for business.
 
Best curry is made at home. They are easy to make, and scale nicely with quality ingredients. No restaurant can compete because they are in the game to make money, and typically currys are made to be cheap at restaurants.

Have to agree. There is nothing that can compare with homecooked Indian food - but not everyone can cook.

and home cooked is largely by definition not for sale, which I think is the context of this thread
 
I think there should be some pics of curries from different locations.
