I'm so sorry—love, backstreetboy. God forgive me.
So on Android I usually had Google Play services chowing my battery but now I have Siri doing the same. Logged out of all my devices (excl the Mac) and that didn't help. Also disabled Siri to no avail. I've now disabled Siri learning from every app and will see if that does anything. Anything else I can try?

How do you know Siri is doing this? (Which by the way is only active once you summon the assistant) ?

AFAIK she is also used by much more than just the assistant. The on device ML and database keeping etc. are all Siri.

No. ML and Siri are two separate things.

I hardly ever use Siri and in my list, the Siri app is at 1%. Nothing extra done to turn off anything. All default settings.

Stop flirting with it.

Will see if disabling her learning from every app helps and if not then I'll try and reset all settings. Thanks.

That is so strange...Siri doesn't even register on mine just saying "-" it's so insignificant and I use it all the damn time.

Over 10 days I get a 1% at least.

What do you mean learning from every app? Any chance you've setup Shortcuts recently?

Easist solution is get a mid-range Xiaomi. I saw some of 'em opened up at a Paki shop and it was Samsung components mostly.
No annoying AI and battery lasts a year as well on those, just gotta setup once and disable all the intrusive ads.

Upgrade to iOS18 and see what happens.

If it's still not there you can just do the fresh install you would have done anyway.

Siri doesn't even register on my battery usage by app screen
Same. Siri doesn't really exist for me. It's so stupid it can't do anything reliably for me other than tell me the weather and set an alarm.

Different issue then because I use it regularly.

I'd say that I'll start using Siri now that I'm on iOS 18, but even that has to wait for the 16 Pro Max because my 14MP is excluded from the "Apple Intelligence".

Yeah, Apple Inelegance is only available on iPhone 15 Pro and Max I think. I'm going to upgrade from my iPhone 12 to the 16 Pro when it is out.

Yeah, no. :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Truth be told, I am ashamed to say that I got an Iphone 14 Pro Max as a birthday gift and I use it for "show".

It is beautiful in the looks department (It's purplish but has a sorta colour-changing look in bright light or sunlight).

The OS on the iPhone is quick, faster than the Samsung's I used to be honest.

Out of brand loyalty though, I still use my Xiaomi :D:D
