Skechers Shoes

yeah, bought casual sneakers, not too bad...as for flip flops, i actually prefer the no name brands...they last longer, dont crack down the middle and since I shower in slops at the gym i dont really care if i forget them when changing etc...

Very good quality and also expensive - one of my ex's was bragging about them (it wasn't in the country) and when it did arrive, she got a pair, I think, like, 9 years later, she still wears them or at least has them.

yes, a very very very very very long time ago....

I can't imagine blu as the sketcher shoe type though... :D

also they tend to come in big shapes so it doesn't look to good if you wearing jeans etc unless ofcourse it's bootleg jeans

Not nice !

That must be a compliment.

I am just looking for casual 'sneakers' , as opposed to running shoes or gym shoes ....

Dunno about the casual shoes, but I won't be buying formal type sketchers again. Bought a pair less than a year ago and they are falling apart. For the price paid one would expect them to last a little longer.

i have a major problem with formal shoes ! they never last ! i find myself buying a new pair every six months or so

i even bought the hardcore bronx but even that is fading fast ! i'm very hard on my shoes so i need them to be stong and durable unfortunately i've yet to find a decent pair that can last longer than 6 months. maybe i should try those expensive boot types what are they called again ... the ones you can apprantly set on fire etc ? maybe those would work ? but there like R2000 a pair roundabout :(

if it's casual you want then just get a pair of nikes or something, a black pair will go with anything ...

i got a pair of puma sneakers black with the white branding it goes with everything i wear so i'm always sorted like that :D

my sketchers i hardly wear because it's a bit bulky especially when driving but they perfect for the backyard when braaing and stuff

Maybe if I show the posters a pic of what I want, they can direct me to where I'd find it : )

Very, very casual and informal to wear with jeans or shorts. I think it's called canvas shoes ..... http://www.patrontv.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/comme-des-garcon-junya-watanabe.jpg or http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00ceAtTNmJQHqC/Women-s-Cloth-Shoes-YX-011001-.jpg

Old, crap and ugly...
But the store in Sandton City has been there for a few years so they surviving...

I'm a big fan of Cats for formal black shoes and boots. They last forever and if you're patient you can get them for R500-R800 when Cape Union Mart has specials.

I also had smart black Sketchers and they were too bulky and didn't last.

i bought a pair of skechers from tekkie town, they were barely out of the box and the sole was coming loose, after a few months of wearing they really look crap...

Skechers quality has decreased since they were first introduced imo. I don't buy them any more - and their designs haven't really kept up with modern trends either. Although I've always found them to be average-priced.

I've have a pair of regular running shoes, and my wife just recently bought the "Shape Ups" for $100, which she thoroughly enjoys. - I'd say they make good products.
