Skype program History setting

I thought this question will be better here than in the software sub, so here it goes.

I've always set the History setting, under the IM and sms settings tab, to "no history". But the history is always being kept. Then I must always go to the tools menu, IM and sms tab, and clear the history manually. What is that history setting there for then anyway?

there is a way to delete it

go to your C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR NAME\Application Data\Skype\SKYPE NAME

Delete the db of that days msg ,

this should work
