I have been using Skype a little. I find the audio quality to be as good as a normal phone. The conference call is excellent aswell. I had 3 people plus myself on 2 days ago and it was smooth. I would recommmend anyone to use it. Its free aswell.

Skype is awsome i recomend it to every one i have any intrest in talking to. With a propper mic it and some speakers it sounds if the person is in yer room so i'd say it's better than phone quality :P
 
I agree it's awesome, I use it to chat to friends overseas and the quality/latency is the same as using the phone. Best of all it only costs 8 bucks (ISDN) to chat as long as I like. How do you like them apples Telkom, pretty bitter hey? [;)]
 
I had anotother prgoram from www.iconnecthere.com. I had a 56K modem only and my girlfriend was over seas. It works like an online phone card. You launch there console, enter in your details and are presented with a pic of a phone. But what was so cool is it was IP to POTS(pc to land line/cell) it was so great. I used to phone the US so often and at the time it cost me 2 US cents a minute, I am sure it has gone up now but this was 3 years ago. On a 56K line. I am sure technology has alo improven with it. VOID has a big future ahead of it, pity the are no free IP to POTS avaiable, it anyone does no of any, please share.
