Skyrim

Oblivion was ok. Still going to give this a try because of the dragons. :D

never rly got that much into oblivion, was a bit too slow paced overall, and most of the system overall could have been better; i preferred Two worlds 2 but both games have big flaws; still will try to get into skyrim even though it feels like an HD version of Oblivion instead of a real sequel, guessing its because they started with a +3years old engine and style they came up with at the time that they couldnt change it mid way; i mean with this kind of game when u spend a ton of time exploring the world, amazing graphics is pretty much necessary and it feel a little outdated unfortunately. and combat obviously feels slow to me because they programmed the game in mind thats it should be played 1st person which isnt my preference at all and never played it like that; and 1st person paced elder scroll would just look weird :/

I also changed my pre-order to the PC version. I'm apparently getting a cloth map? Yay? But I think I'll frame it and hang it in the lounge to upset my SO. :D
Come ON already 11.11.11 bring them dragons to my axe!

Anyone know if this will be playable with xbox 360 controller on pc?

Need to know if I should get the pc or the ps3 version as my pc is hooked up to my tv. I don't really play a lot of games on the pc but if the pc version is gonna be so much better than I'll go that route.

I haven't heard of any official news, but I know that Skyrim was kinda developed for xbox first, then PC. So, the native XBox controller *should* work. As I understand it, Oblivion did not have support for an XBox controller, but Fallout 3 had - and they mention a LOT of Fallout 3 in interviews and such. I also read you can set up Oblivion to use an XBox controller http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Controls#Xbox_360_Controller_for_Windows so I would think that if all else fails, it should be able to work for Skyrim as well. Otherwise, consider getting this: http://cyborggaming.com/prod/cyborgpad.htm as it is for both XBox and PC, so you get software for the PC where you can customize it.

But to get back to the subject, although no official statement has been issued (that I know of), I doubt it will be a problem.

I watched a video (an epic video) which demo'ed skyrim on an xbox 360 .... My natural assumption then is that it uses the normal controller? I dont own an xbox, but I dont think there are other input devices really for it? I could be hugely mistaken tho :)

Aside from that, the games looks absolutely brilliant, those unscripted dragons ... WOW!!! Cant wait, gonna be freaking awesome!

I saw the same demo last night :D I was very surprised to find out that it was played on an xbox :O

I wonder how it will look on the PS3 though? I'll have to make a choice to get it for ps3 or pc but so far that choice seems obvious ;)

Even if the pc version doesn't support the 360 controller I got a program called xpadder that can map the 360 buttons to do nearly anything - even control the mouse cursor.

I can't wait for this game. I've even put in leave for the 12th :)

Yeah, I was not totally sold on the game(had not done enough research i guess) ... and then I saw how you can equip anything you like in each hand ... and those dragons .. wow! dam those dragons are awesome! lol

And i assume it should have a kick ass story like elder scrolls normally have :)

To be honest, I never even finished the 4th one (oblivion). I keep starting a game, then I play through the story for a bit and then wonder off and start doing my own thing for 30 - 40 hours, then I do it all over again a few months later after I've lost the save game :D

The PC version will be the best - it has mods for it :D

Theres a group that is even porting Morrowind to the Skrym engine!

I hope it DOES support XBOX controller. Fallout New Vegas PC was legendary with controller (minus needing an elastic band to "auto run").

I didn't play Mass Effect 2 on account of no controller support. Suck it Bio.
