Skyrim

I haven't had a chance to play yet... but soon as the paycheque comes end of the month i am there. found this and thought it was funny, the artist recons the game is a bit buggy:

hehe yeah once or twice I was yelling at my Pc..

"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY WAY!!! DAMNIT!!!" lol :D

other than that Ive one one major texture glitch when I went down into the prison and the stone wall was all white, then all see-through.... weird

and sometimes when Im jumping it gets stuck in the "jump" position and then I "fly" around like that chick from the matrix :D

Unfortunately I dont have the PC to run this game, so PS3 is the only option. I dont like shooters on console so archery and spellcasting are both much more difficult, especially when being rushed by mobs. But even so, this game is stunning.
Just too much to do, I can see myself playing this game on and off for the next few months easily. Which for a game without multiplayer is quite amazing. I think I might need to because I wont be able to get D3 when it comes out... Need a new PC soon.

I keep getting attacked by dragons in the middle of random battles. A green dragon descended into my fight in Winterhold with the magic anamolies, that was intense.

Managed to fix Mzulft this afternoon with a console command. I couldn't get the crystal to warp.

I picked up a slow time shout. Pretty useful :)

I keep absorbing Dragon Souls but it doesn't unlock the shouts?

OMW yes it's so annoying when your follower stands in a doorway and you can't get past! This happens far too often!

Holy shyte, what the fusk is going on? I installed the game, then was faced with a non-trivial 200mb download, now the game what's to install .net framework!? 2 hours have elapsed of me just waiting :( :(, I just want to play!!!!

I figured out how to get crossfire working ok until the performance drivers are released this week (expected).
With catalyst 10.10 cap4 or 11.11 cap1, rename the games exe to dxhr (human revolution had great crossfire scaling!) will give you very decent crossfire scaling in skyrim! ps. i've been using this trick for awhile now on crysis2 dx11 - renamed crysis2.exe to rage.exe actually enabled crossfire! (just make sure vsync is enabled).

Happy Crossfiring! :)

You have to press 'R' to unlock the shout when you highlight it. Not sure what it is if you're on console, but it is listed at the bottom of the screen.

After 38 hours of messing around I started the companion quests... at level 40 currently, full Dragonscale dual wielding legendary Glass swords

I've been on Adept (normal difficulty) since I started this character, and every dungeon I enter is still challenging? - the bandits inhabiting the same ruins I cleared out with ease earlier in the game hit like trucks

Sneak attacking (3x perk) with a Daedric bow barely scratches the enemies health bar, every Draugr I come across uses the Fuuuus Ro-Dah shout

This is almost Oblivion all over again with it's scaling system, and I can't say for a second I'm not loving every moment of this game

Tip: Look at the ingame world map properly before deciding to go somewhere.

So I thought it would be fun to go and clear our the bandits in varisomthing towers before going to Whiterun for the first time. I opened my map and saw that these towers were on the peak just behind rivertown and started my journey there. Found lots of interesting things that I won't bore you with, actually died a couple of times, but when I finally made it to the top of the peak I swore at myself. I had found High Hrothgar and looking at the map again showed what I should have seen in the first place...

The tower with the bandits was in the shadow of the peak along the river and not on the peak itself...

It was fun getting up the peak though so I headed back down and made my way to whiterun. Having gained a level going up the peak I stopped in rivertown again and was able to buy a Dwarven bow with soultrap to go along with my ebony bow. Saw the companions fighting the giant and quickly assited them and captured the things soul :p

Save outside of Whiterun and will continue my journey from there.

Getting my copy today!! Too much excitement. One question, the last rpg i played was Gothic 3 which i enjoyed, how does skyrim compare in terms of gameplay?

can someone please explain this capturing souls thing??

I see you can recharge a weapon with a soul gem, but I also see the weapon recharges over time... I use one-handed so I simply alternate between to enchanted weapons... simple!

:D

So sick of stupid crashing to desktop, i just run click on something - crash. Open a vendors items - crash. bleaheta

Stock up on souls for when you finally want to do enchanting and put your own stats and bonusses on your items.

I hate to say this, maybe I'm lucky (touches wood) but I haven't experienced a single crash to desktop in 27 hours of play time now.

Good question, I know that my super axe of awesome runs out of charge and I also know that this is linked to Soul Gems and the Soul Trap spell but I havent put it all together yet. Can any one sketch out the high level picture of how this is supposed to work. how do you capture souls and how do I recharge my super axe of awesome?

:D

You mean how does one capture a soul?

In that case just cast soul trap and kill something within the time limit of the soul trap spell and the soul will automatically fill a soul gem

EDIT: I'm not 100% sure if you have to cast the soul trap on a specific target.
