Skyrim

Hehehe, I completed the Companions quests, joined the Inner Circle, got turned into a warewolf! Just dont know how to activate the form?? :/

It's the same button used for shouts, but you have to select it first under powers. And you can only use it once a day.

Thats the cure to Vampirism, so will stay away till I want to be "cured" of my nightlife :)

Ye, I know he drops a cool mask. Had real trouble beating him with my sword and shield warrior in full legendary daedric armour on my previous playthrough though. So I don't think my lvl3 orc with steel swords and leather armour would have stood a chance :)

Most of the enemies have scaled strength. So you probably could beat his with a low level character.

That's not the cure, however you cannot contract both at the same time as both give you 100% disease resistance.
There is a specific quest to do to cure vampirism.

I'm guessing that I will need to get back to questing at some stage...

I actually only started making my way to Riften this weekend and then hooked up with the thieves guild. Now I'm busy making my way back to Whiterun following a very round-a-bout route and doing ruins/temples/caves that I find...

Well the shrines to the various divines can cure the first stage

No, they can cure the disease which is a precursor to vampirism, but once you contract it (after 3 days of having the disease) you can only cure it via the quest.

It is a cure, in fact you get an achievement for doing just that.

Remember Vampirism has 2 forms.

1st is a disease that you have to cure from any disease cure like the shrine or potions within a time limit from contracting it and the second stage is being a Vampire. As there are 2 forms of werewolf, the 1st is also a disease(Being attacked) and the second is a gift from completing a quest chain(drinking the blood).

If you are a full blown vampire you have different levels that progress on how long time ago you fed on someone, each level makes you stronger but also more feared.

There are only 2 ways to become normal again, 1st a quest chain removing the "curse" and 2nd being turned into a werewolf as a gift on a quest chain.

Well all this is if they kept to the Elder scroll world, which I am sure they would have, else there would be some very upset fans around.

Sanguinaire Vampiris is the disease that leads to Vampirism. This disease is only present in Skyrim; it is similar to the disease that led to Vampirism in Oblivion called Porphyric Hemophilia. It is contracted by engaging in combat with a vampire, every time the vampire hits you with a spell or weapon, you have a 10% chance of contracting this disease.
This disease progresses to full Vampirism after 72 in-game hours (three days). During this time, the player will receive notifications which will alert him/her of the disease, such as "You feel a strange thirst as the sun sets."

The disease is easiest to contract in Broken Fang Cave due to the two fairly weak vampires that inhabit it. A good strategy is to just let them attack you, healing yourself with spells or potions until you contract the disease. You could also turn the game's combat dificultly down in the options menu so that they won't do as much damage.

It is important to note it is impossible to become a Vampire while a Werewolf, however becoming a Werewolf will cure Vampirism at any stage.

Just to clarify any confusion

@Linkin, I thought the initial disease counts as the first stage

Aaah crap....
Thanx for the info, and here I thought you had to get bitten (like in Oblivian) to contract it so I was parking off in beds found in the open, hoping one would come bite me. Oh well need to go find me a vamp then and heal myself while it tries to kill me.

Yeah I didn't know you could sprint until I saw it on a vid on youtube :D
Another thing that took me ages to find out was that you could number your "Favourited" weapons on the PC. Then instead of hitting 'Q' and selecting, you just hit the number....

Didn't know about the numbering :o

According to every guide i read, the werewolf curse is not a cure as vampirism gives you 100% disease resistance, therefore you cannot contract the werewolf curse from the companion quest (The Silver hand).
I'm already a werewolf so i cant test this out.

Curing Vampirism

Activating any shrine of the Nine Divines will remove Sanguinare Vampiris but will not remove permanent vampirism.

Ask any bartender about any rumors going around, and he will tell you that Falion in Morthal studies vampires. Speak to him and he will tell you that, in order to perform the ritual, a black soul gem must be filled. To get the black soul gem, you need to speak to Falion again and he will offer to sell it to you (you can also obtain the black soul gem in other various, cheaper ways). To fill it, cast a Soul Trap spell on a human target and proceed to kill them, absorbing their soul. Now that your black soul gem is filled, return to Falion, who will tell you to meet him at dawn in the summoning circle. At the appointed place and time, you will be cured.

Notes:

Becoming a Werewolf also cures Vampirism. (This only works if you contract Lycanthropy as a quest reward; i.e from the Companions' questline.)

Potions of Cure Disease will cure Sanguinare Vampiris, the disease which progresses to vampirism, but will not cure vampirism itself.

Any bartender can tell you about Falion when you ask them about rumors enough times.

Falion will attack you if you are at the final stage of Vampirism (stage 4). Feed on someone to reduce the stage of your vampirism before visiting him.

Aaah sweet, i need to stop looking gamefront and yahoo answers :/

I'd rather be a werewolf tho, as in human form you still get 100% disease resistance

Had to kill my stolen horse last night :( Damn thing started attacking me when I got off of it to pick some shrooms.

Still trying to get into this game. There is just so much to do and I have no idea where to start!

Tell me about it, just entered some slaughter house for wolves/dogs it seems where they also have "cock" fights, busy murdering them all, even got a dog now as a companion after I let him out of a cage.

I just love how open the world is, if they ever made a MMO like this it would kill WOW in an instant.
