I dont think you guys will ever sort your **** out.

Ronald, if I have a contract with iBurst, can I get out of it as a result of your continual and reliable failure to provide service? I'm quite keen to switch now. Please let me know.

Are you able to browse to www.iburst.co.za?

I can browse to the site, but can't traceroute, doesn't this just mean some of the routers are configured not to respond to your traceroute?

During the period of time i ran these tracerts, I went from not being able to connect to anything at all, to being able to connect to local sites extremeeeely slowly. I run them because i appeared to lose connectivity and wanted to see if I was still hitting the iburst network (2nd hop) - which I was, . Alot of the time I tend to notice problems with the MTN Business network.

I also had similar problem after DaEvAnAm's post, at one stage I was getting 1Mbps from mirror.ac.za and shortly thereafter I had difficulty logging in to Steam and then updates were trickling through.

At one point the Steam client stopped responding to the mouse completely, I disabled the network connection on that PC an instantly Steam started responding again. Some of the Steam updates stalled during the night and I had to finish them this morning.

The traceroute results could also be indicative of a routing problem, so traffic is unable to route from inside iBurst back to you and the only way you are able to reach them is by proxy.

Tcptraceroute tells a completely different story:
$ sudo tcptraceroute www.iburst.co.za
Selected device eth0, address 192.168.88.4, port 47623 for outgoing packets
Tracing the path to www.iburst.co.za (196.30.31.120) on TCP port 80 (www), 30 hops max

@Markd: Please update your location in your MyBB profile.

Please provide location details of the suburb in which you are located. Not aware of any upstream problem in Cape Town but will investigate (will send a message to our techie from behind the boerewors curtain).

Surely by now, there must be a way to sue iBurst. This is literally theft. Taking money for providing a service they do no provide.

That is theft.

****ing c*nts.

My connections has been poor all weekend.

I just haven't had the time to go onto the forums.

I've pretty much given up. There is no hope.

And to r00igev@@r, my location is in my profile. I was asked to put it up.

Sigh.

the weekend has been fine for me, but I'm also in Cape Town. Gardens tower.
