Can anyone maybe assist me? I have a telkom LTE router and sim for the past year. I buy data bundles every month. Since about Dec 2018 the speed has extremely slow. I contacted telkom and they say there is a problem in the area and it will be fixed. It is now Jan 2019 and the speeds are still pathetic. On my nightshift data i could download about 4-6 movies between 12am and 5am, now i take 3 days for 1 movie. This is so annoying.

Are you using telkom data or roaming data?
I am using the 450 night data, sometimes i buy the normal data which is telkom data. I have been using this since early last year and never had this problem

looks like a heavily congested tower, try restarting your router once you want to start downloading, I have to do this to get the best speed.

Will try restarting and see if it helps. My cellphone speed also drops really low, so it definately something to do with the network. Telkom keeps telling me to change settings on my router, but it does not help.

Weird question... if you're using a cell phone in thethering mode to surf the net on your PC... ie the cell phone acts as a modem.... And you're getting crap speeds... Would it be advisable to restart the phone before using it as a tethering device? To "fix" the slow speeds.

Makes no difference to me if I do, I just switch the sim off for a second or 2 which will have the same effect as a restart.
