Hi, I am trying to connect to an Apache server running on my local LAN from the Internet. The server is accessible from the local LAN and I have set up the router to allow SSH and HTTP traffic from the WAN side. The SSH works, but I cannot seem to get the HTTP working.

I can vaguely remember something about that this might be blocked by telkom (or might have been regarding mweb). Does anybody know this for a fact? I have played around but haven't gotten this to work. This is through a dlink DSL-2750U.

I doubt it but just change your apache port to something else, like 8080, and see if you can connect then.

Port 80 works for me and I'm also on a Telkom ADSL package. Double check your port forwarding is setup correctly? Maybe pointing to wrong local IP?

aaaand, its working. Not sure I did anything. But for the record it IS possible. Might have been the removing of the port forwarding rules and restarting everything and then doing the port forwarding again. Thanks for effort!
