Smart light switches

My switch works. Was a tight squeeze but got it in and so far no issues.

3 led fluorescent replacement lights linked to switch.

"120V rated voltage"

FWIW sonoffs - or at least the ones I have - are 100-220v. Discovered that the other night when we went single phase and they still worked.
Don't think sonoffs SABS certified? @Dolby

I would thus rather use a dumb switch with a certified shelly relay.

I've just been reluctant to introduce another app as I'm using mostly Smart Life/Tuya products with a few Sonoff/ewelinks.

But worth it ito cost and aesthetics (use any switch that fits in with the colour scheme) plus that tactile factor.

I'm leaning on le grand with shelly relays to replace the veti that I currently have. Vetis are really poor quality wise switches plastic have actually cracked.

I like the le grand as it looks good, the sonoffs just look fugly.

Also with the dumb switches if the shelly blows then it's easy to replace with a new relay rather than matching a new switch as they might be discontinued.

Problem is my house has quite a few 3 gangs and 2 way switches

I doubt the 120v 3-Way Smart Switch you suggested are either, are they?
Nope. But only one not certified.

I mentioned it.

No certified option for 3 way switches. Unless I use a Shelly relay. But then doubt the physical switch will operate as a 3 way switch? Not sure.

2 way? - I assume you mean the 3 way switches or 2 gangs?

3 gangs as in 3 switches in a box with a 2 way (controlled from 2 different locations)
A 2 way switch only need 1 Shelly relay. You put it on only 1 of the 2 switches and the the 2 switches go on the Shelly as if it is one switch. The just route to the Shelly instead of the lights. Easy as pie. I have it like that on mine.

Yea I have some like that.

Also dumb switch plus shelly works out to more than double the cost of using sonoff switches

Advantage is Shellys SABS certified.

I only have the 3 way switch thats not SABS certified.

Btw not sure if my s55 sonoff outside/external plug certified. Assume so as its an old 3 pin SA plug?

Can I replace my treatlife 3 way smart switch with dumb switch and shelly relay?

I've said it before, but I'll say it again :

I much prefer a tactile switch over a touch sensitive design. The Sonoff touch switches are not great - the touch design is impractical and they actually don't look great on the wall, unless you fabricate your own housing.

I'd much rather go a relay + traditional light switch
