Smart light switches

I checked my switches. Yes I have neutral but it seems I need one additional live wire?

So for 2 gang I need 3 lives and for 3 I need 4 lives?

I have 2 gang and 3 gang qualitel tuya based light switches.

How can I install switches? Must I get additional live wires?

Using qualitel switches

Checked out Brilliant light switches but also too expensive and obligatory control (i.e. hub).
Hey @ adielk,

If interested, you could look into either, Shelly Dimmer 2, Shelly 2.5 (for multiple wires in one wall box) or DUO and Vintage range of bulbs.

Single point light switches are easy to do but the 2-3 way switches are a PITA.

Got the qualitels already. A 2 and 3 gang one.

If success, I'll get more as I am mostly in the tuya smartlife ecosystem with some ewelink sonoffs under google home.

And still struggling. Will have to get a multimeter.

Hoping I have neutral. But seems no consistency ito wire colours.

Every single light switch in my house is a Sonoff T1 or T3. I have from the single to three switch units.
My wife likes to use a switch most of the time, I like to use automations or Alexa to turn things on and off. The Sonoff's satisfy both needs nicely.

The local qualitel is fine but requires neutral. The sonoff also requires a neutral?

The light guard switches are for the switches I cannot replace with smart switches. For these I use smart light bulbs. Therefore need light guard switches.

Where can one get borders for these switches? The Qualitel dimensions are 120x76x28mm.20200817_181213.jpg

But consider white silicone around it? Not the greatest look but bit better?

The light switch guys might be able to source?

I just wish it was a physical button on the T1 and not a touch panel. It requires you to actually look at the panel to switch the light on.

Which is why I've gone with physical light switches and sonoff mini's instead.

I agree wholeheartedly. I thought the touch panel looked cool, so replaced all my light switches with these. Only to use it in practice and getting frustrated with it for the same reasons mentioned. Oh well. At least theres Alexa. She just battles with my name. The various pronunciations for “Gert” I’ve tried can fill a book.
