Smart TV or not?

I prefer a smart TV cause I use youtube, Netflix and Plex all the time. I have a Samsung and never had an issue with the TV getting slow. No wait I lie, I had that issue with constant buffer with Plex when I used a Netgear N300 since I changed the modem to one with a Gigabit ports never had that issue ever again.

Any links to non smart tv's and miibox?

Not going to find much in UHD that isn't Smart, but rather a case of disregarding what they claim to be "Smart" or spending more on a TV that does have decent Smart functions.

Your Sinotec one is cheaper at Makro though.

And I would just add the Mii box to that to make it properly smart.

Can't comment whether Sinotec is any good as I would never touch it personally.

If we all recommending a Mi Box then wouldn't it be better if CandyGirl gets a TV with Android TV OS built in

I have a Chromecast which works fine for Netflix and youtube. Not so well for streaming a downloaded movie (casting phone to TV). Recently got a Telkom Lit box which I havent opened. Do I still need Mii box?

Those are typically schit, don't have enough ram and underpowered. The ones you get here anyway

Also, the box can move with your tv upgrades

I'm talking about "Android TV OS", same thing found in Mi Box and Telkom Lit Box.

See above about the Skyworth.

I would recommend an Apple TV any given day of the week but budget seems constrained.

What's a standard Quad core CPU? Where are you getting the specs from?

Ok, Skyworth Owns Sinotec so the TV's Sinotec has listed are rebranded Skyworth TV's.

The RAM and Storage are on Sinotec's website, they don't list the CPU so I found it on http://www.skyworth.us/tv-accessories/uhd-televisions/uhd-g2a.html - Quad-Core Cortex A53 with MaliT860 MP2

Makro is it - https://www.makro.co.za/electronics...smart-uhd-android-led-tv-stl-50g2aum-357812EA / https://www.makro.co.za/electronics...smart-uhd-android-led-tv-stl-58g2aum-356472EA

For the Skyworth G6 the info is from http://hk.iskyworth.com/content/g6系列-43495565/ regarding the CPU but the RAM and Storage can be found on Sinotec's website as they the same TV listed.
