Smart TV or not?

Already posted it on Page 1.

And the new HiSense's should have it too....but probably only on top end premium models.

Makro also has the Sinotec (Rebranded Skyworth G2- http://www.skyworth.us/tv-accessories/uhd-televisions/uhd-g2a.html )Android TV for R1000 cheaper, obviously you lose out on the built in soundbar.https://www.makro.co.za/electronics...smart-uhd-android-led-tv-stl-50g2aum-357812EA

That's actually cheap. Not that I will ever buy Sansui

I said the same but took a punt and bought that because of the price. I mean, with a 2 year guarantee what’s to lose?

Anyway, terrible sound but a great picture. Chuck in a sound bar and you are laughing.

Well bought my sister a Sansui 40" telly a while back and she loves it. But I never compared it to Samsung.

I've got a Samsung 40" smart TV and it's of course got more bells and whistles, but the picture quality is pretty great on the Sansui.

I surprised myself buying it actually, I only ever buy top brands, but for some reason when I was checking out TV's in the mall, it was 10k cheaper than a branded counterpart and the screens in the shop looked pretty much the same as the big names. If it didn't have a two year guarantee, I'd never have bought it but I thought what the heck, give it a go.

Really, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference from a Samsung or LG, although no doubt people who are into these kind of things would. As I say, with the soundbar, it's a great set up for me.
