Smash my iBurst

cancellation forms and it has been noted
hmm lets see noted is defined as I've seen it I've noticed it but will I do anything about it?

not trying to be funny but this is exactly my point... a "brief" record of somthing.... question is will they actually remember what they noted a month ago? make sure NO debits come off your account next month else you'll have hell trying to get the money back from them...

I attemped to migrate my account from the 3gig package to the 5gig package... online direct promised me it WILL be done... 15 days into the new month and 4 phone calls later and 2 email's to the director Dion Carter still finally resulted my account being activated on the 20th day... so trust me when they say NOTED it most likely will mean you'll have 20 phone calls and 2 attempts to reverse your debit order only for it to be too late. Then the ultimate 2 months of waiting for iburst to refund you your money.

Generally migrations take place after the 25th of each month and are only effective the month thereafter... It would be quicker to cancel the account and apply for a new account via Tradepage.

Thanks fishfly...I have heard similar stories from tons of people. I will keep an eye on my account and seriously god help them if they debit me next month.

So can you cancel the debit order on your account after the last amount has come off? Wouldnt this be the logical thing to do and surely will save lots of drama?

my application was done the day they annouced the new 5gig package for R599... if I'm correct that was the 31th of March or around 3rd April... Online Direct said all migrations will be done up to the 20th April

So I waited the entire month of April plus 15 days into May yet still no migration...

I didn't have a debit order, yet they got hold of my account details... be warned Online direct has multiple debit order accounts that they use to leech money directly out of your account... I tried to blocked 3 of their accounts from the bank when they started their illegal debit orders.... who knows how many more they have in their arsenal.

Please let me know when you plan to smash / burn these devices - I would love to be there. Thanks for this thread - one gets sick of all the guys complaining...

I am trying to renew my contract ( at this point it is the devil I know rather than the Hellkom I have to face ), their fantastic "now you can renew online service" keeps popping up a message about sorry we cannot help you now, even after speaking to a "retention" consultant ( hmmfff a place that consults for retention??) I am still awaiting my promised email. So much for retention.

Tip : When opening an iburst account, usually arrange for a month-to-month cash payment.

If they won't accept that, then open a new savings account, give them the details to that savings account, and ensure you transfer enough money on a monthly basis into that account.

Should you wish to terminate your account, it is a simple matter of simply faxing (and emailing) a couple of termination notices to their offices (or one can also send a termination notice by registered mail) and ensure that one's got proof of receipt. Then just tell the bank in advance that you'll be closing that account down - and ensure it's closed.

So when iburst launches their debit orders, they'll be the ones who'll pay for the bounced orders. :D

It's a bit of a hassle, but the preferred way to do it. :)

The Librarian - Those are wise words! Had i known what i was in for when signing up with these arangutangs i would have been sure to have an account that i could close straight away. :)

Hey this is my hundredth post, think this calls for some beers (any excuse will do) :)

my daughter likes to play with my utd. at least it serves a useful purpose.

No the above post was your 101st, but all that means is that it calls for another round of celebratory beers ;-)
