Can Vodacom please implement a system whereby contract bundle users are informed at about 90% of bundle useage. Non VSP users get there oob invoice a MONTH LATER surprise surprise but PAY-UP. I dont believe there is a system in place. We have now over stepped 2 months in a row.

Charles,Thats where the ver9 that you un installed is pretty good.It warns you at 90% and every time you connect thereafter. It gets the total bundle used and displays it before connecting to HSDPA...

It did not work for me because it is very slow takes a long time to detect hardware & network etc.

Are you using Windows XP ?

Are you using the original software that came on the 3G modem with version 9.1 ??

You obviously have to set up the bundle size and to start monitoring on 1st of the month.?

I still believe it should be a function of the ISP like Vodacom in this case.

What does MTN do for contract customers ?

Maybe so but if you're not using Vodacom SP, as you stated above that you're not, then you should take it up with your SP.

There is a system in place. As I've asked you before, (and you've now posted many times on this same problem), please take it up with your SP why you're not getting the notification SMS's.

but I would not rely on the notification SMS's. Rather log the usage on your PC for a real-time report.

Charles,I m using XP pro..sp2..downloaded ver9 from VC.Yes,You enter the limits and when it approaches these limits,it starts notifying me..
I also use NETMETER-Brilliant little monitoring utility..

I agree on Netmeter !!!!!!.

You should also try Magitime you can download it from www.goggaconnect.co.za also a FREE program. You can set costs etc.

Im sorry about this. I just tried to keep it seperate, in one post.

But it just shows you desperate I am.
I am sure not just for me, there are many other users with the same problem.
And at R1,20 per Mega byte you need to know very quick you have gone over. Well VSP provides vodacom4me with some stats, why not in the remaining column just go into a negative value. Should be a piece of pie for the programmers. Oh shucks here I go again sorry v3g.:o Is that not what the Forum is all about ?

AS posted before, there is a SMS notification system in place. You should get 2 SMs's, one at close to bundle end and one at 100%. I get them every month.

Are you referring to running an OOB report above? Is this for pre-paid or contract?

It is for a contract.

My understanding is, on contract, if you want to see how much you've gone OOB, you can run a detailed report.

I've not gone OOB to test myself, can someone else confirm?

I saw Charles can't see this tab and have escalted.

That was my only workaround hack idea - obviously it didn't work, best to let v3g drive this issue for you.

Did anybody ever confirm for definite if sms's are sent out when data useage gets to bundle limit. v3g did say something about this. Has anybody else received or not received a sms. ??? Has anybody ever gone oob
