Snapscan vs Masterpass

Surprisingly after enquiring at the 20 odd stores I visited over the last 2 months if I can pay with snapscan or masterpass with QR code none of the stores except for Clicks said they accept the method of payment...

I think it could also be a training issue with most not knowing the machines are capable as I read an article saying all FNB card machines accept QR code payments from COVID time to push contactless payments...

1. FNB
2. Nedbank
3. ABSA
4. Standard bank

They all support Apple pay so I would suggest getting yourself an iphone and use apple pay, it is also by far the safest option and has the best customer service.

Had two disasters with Apple Pay
Come to pay, and fingerprint reader rejects my finger. Next day it works again. Phone is 2020SE
Prompted to enter passcode. After a minute it requests touch ID again
Merchants not impressed. Used Capitec Scan to pay
