SNES mini

More games that I'd like to see on the Snes Mini
The Lost Vikings 1&2
Super Famicom Wars
Harvest Moon
Ogre Battle

I was able to pre-order the US version off PlayAsia when it was initially listed on there months ago. The latest batch of pre-orders there have yet to go live.
The local one I'm getting via RARU.

Different style casing on those two, as per how they looked in those regions when the SNES was originally released, all those years ago.
It should make a nice set to have both.

It certainly will. Do you have a set up to play 110v or are you just collecting?

So next week, then. lol

Thank you for your pre-order on Raru.

It is with regret that we inform you that there has been a delay in receiving our stock of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System includes Two Controllers (SNES) due to unforeseen circumstances.

The freight truck that our consignment was due to arrive in broke down on route to us and though we tried to arrange to receive the stock in time to meet our dispatch cut-off, it could not be achieved.

We will be dispatching your parcel as soon as the stock has been received, with delivery expected to occur to Main Delivery Centres from early next week.

We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences caused.

Best Regards
The Raru Team

Memories :) Played it on the Megadrive knockoff we had known as the Telegamestation. Never played 2 though.

Got the email. Mine has been ‘despatched’. So maybe with courier today and delivery tomorrow

Edit: should say I’m in UK and managed to get one on preorder from Tesco.

So a recent teardown of the SNES Classic suggests the internals of this box are identical to the NES Classic Mini. Seems like they picked a powerful enough chipset that they didn't have to change anything. It might also explain why they cut off production of the NES Classic Mini when they did: to build inventory for the SNES Classic Mini. Once they deal with most of the demand for the SNES Classic they can do another run of the NES Classic and see where they stand once the dust settles.

Given the age of these consoles, they could probably use the same chipset for an N64 emulator.

Got my SNES mini today and it really is a super little bit of kit. Games aside, there's a few settings to choose from including a CRT setting to go full retro on the screen if you want as well as a normal 4:3 with clearer pixels.

Each game also has four slots for save points in which you can save at any time in a game. So for example, you don't have to wait until you've gone past 4 levels of SMW to save after a castle, you can save in the middle of a level if you want.

Fun times :)

I received mine beginning of December, had no idea additional games could be installed but man was I happy when I discovered this:)
And soon after it only got better discovering wireless controllers. I ordered a set of SF30 wireless controllers on amazon and received them within 5 days.
I already installed games I like as well as games on a few other platforms eg NES (which i had in my early teens) megadrive, neogeo and arcade.
I really enjoy the SNES Mini, it kept me occupied during the December holiday. Was a real great xmas gift from myself to myself :)
