Sounds very good to me, and I'm very optimistic.. all hope has been lost on Telkom for years and as far as I'm concerned my support goes to the SNO.
We shouldn't underestimate either of them though.. sure things don't look exemplary at the moment but that could change very rapidly if the right things happen.
A duopoly where they both have high prices would be stupid. The SNO cannot expect to gain adequate market share and turn a decent profit if their prices aren't more attractive than what their competition offers. Thing is with competition prices will become lower at varying speeds and degrees, but the SNO WILL have to offer something better to get more customers, as the lower the prices go the more customers they will need to reach the revenue achieved by the fewer amount of customers.. and with Telkom's 15% projected market share for the SNO they won't be making all that much profit.
But 15% is Telkom's estimate, and a bad one at that as they aren't the ones who receive the mails from Hellkom, so they have no idea what the feeling is toward them from the average consumer/business/SME/corporate. Maybe Markinor can do another survey and tell Telkom that everyone loves them..
