That isn't reserved for BMW drivers, that sort of thing belongs to all fscking retarded drivers. She could have been driving a Tazz and would have done the same thing.

Hell I've done it before many many times... but I can't say I've ever driven 4m in reverse when I intended on going forwards...
 
OP is pretty lucky about the value. I do need to do something about getting the front bumper repaired what with scratches and bumps over the years. Each time I think now is the moment I change my mind because of the cost. It is incredibly high even for minor scratches.
The current plan is to ride it out and do the fixes when I add a concealed winch which requires bumper mods anyway.

Police stamp doesn’t make it legit. Just draw up a basic agreement of loss (google yet template) pop in the disclaimer. Get them to sign and you done.

So this guy is refusing to listen, I'm trying to get him to send me details via SMS or email but he flat out refuses.

Now he phones in the middle of the day to come to the police station and now he's threatening to open a case.

Report this to your insurance. Hopefully you're still within (I think) 30 days time frame to report it.

Case of what? There's nothing criminal about it, it was an accident, you should already have filed an accident report with your local station. If he's unwilling to sign anything then say no, he can rotate. No matter what he does, even small claims court, he would be forced to sign or record something. The fact he doesn't make one think the car he's driving is not his or there's something else going on. What sane person would refuse an offered settlement that's reasonable?

Then send them a print screen of the messages. Lady that bump my wife's car a few years back tried that ****, just forwarded a printscreen of her message to my broker and she stopped. They have know how and lawyers to deal with this, that's why you pay them.
