Is that legal though?Record him then
Fully. Only one party of a conversation is required to consent to a recording OR if it is done in a business medium, they can as well without others knowledge. Is that legal though?

don't indulge him, its that simple, don't answer his calls, send him a message and explain your terms. if he calls on a private number or another number tell him you made it clear how to contact you and put the phone down in his ear.
Depends on what he told insurance, if he told insurance there's going to be a third party claim, this is the guys details and and, than sure. But if he said that he'll sort it out himself, there they might just say oh well good luck. You've notified your insurance...
As has been said, he must deal with your insurance now, not you. Simple. When he phones, answer and when he starts go "Sorry sir, you have been informed that my insurance are now dealing with this issue and you have been given all the relevant details, please contact them" then hang up...
Repeat ad infinitum.

Someone bumped my mom's car. Insurance said it will cost 9 000 to fix but she must pay 6 000... What the hell?If he said the latter, he's an idiot.

Okay I just checked. She claimed earlier because of a device that got damaged. Because it is her second claim in a year she is getting screwed.Excess. she had obviously paid reduced premiums with a higher excess

Yeah it is rubbish. Gonna contact the broker and find out what he says. If it is two motor vehicle accidents I can understand (well sort off, I'll be moving insurance now that I know this and they want her to pay 75%, that is sick). But the other items fall under ALL RISK.An extra excess because more than 1 claim in a year?![]()
